General Front-end

  • Working on blockers and regressions
    • Several have patches or can be landed
  • Big plugin patch got reviewed and landed (yay stechz and dougt)

  • Several issues around zooming have been addressed (or in progress)
  • XUL-in-content is becoming a problem for addon devs bug 528406
  • Font size issue bug caused us to backout the true DPI fixes bug 527750
    • Backout patch bug 530931
    • Fennec chrome UI needs to move to "px" dimensions (test build is available)
  • Fennec can now auto-connect when device is offline
  • We added transparent border-images for buttons, radiogroups and toggles. Watch the panning performance!

UX design

  • 6 1.0-blocking polish/UX issues: http://bit.ly/7131QS
    • 2 assigned to nobody
    • last one requiring UX-input (style for disabled grey buttons) now has design (just a color change) in bug
    • 1 additional (new "new-tab" icon) - slightly delayed, but on its way
  • reviewing results from dpi/fontsize fix
  • looking at bug 522282 - regarding designing "our" maemo5 system icons
  • new issue (nominated), relating to weave, but more general for addons
  • otherwise, working on fennec-weave UX

Platform Support

Maemo

  • Working on subpixel text rendering on Linux to fix text rendering spacing problems.
  • Auto-dial landed and front-end code now auto-connects
  • DPI backout needs review!
  • Fennec installs to /opt/mozilla
  • xptcinvoke patch cause segfault during talos runs, backed out bug 530087
  • finishing packaging a fennec-dbus-proxy package that lets Fennec act as default browser in place of MicroB (bcombee)
  • password manager patch makes an interface change, need to figure out a way to land that on 1.9.2
