Summary: Learn about the security model for Firefox OS and how to write secure Firefox OS Apps.

How your session furthers the MozCamp Goals: The Open Web Apps Security and Privacy Model is the gateway to the powerful new Web APIs in Firefox OS. Understanding the security model is a prerequisite for developers to gain access to these APIs in their apps, and enables them to develop apps which are safe for our users.

Expected Outcome or Deliverable: Attendees will gain an understanding of the web app permission model and how permissions are granted; learn the security requirements for gaining access to different types of permissions; and learn how to design apps to reduce security risk and address common pitfalls.

Desired Audience Type or Skill-set: Web developers, ideally with a basic knowledge of Firefox OS Apps (i.e. also attending ZeroToApp or have existing knowledge)
