Note: In terms of using the word "advocacy" it is worth noting that the Mozilla Message Card on spreadfirefox says that "Mozilla advocates for users on the Web, leading and applying pressure on other actors to do good."

Mozilla advocates for users on the Web, leading and lending a hand to others involved in building the Internet and online communities. For over a decade, the Mozilla community has learned many lessons about building a community and developing critical parts of the Internet's infrastructure. We view this experience and the community itself as a resource that is available for other individuals, companies and governments.
