Data Store

So far: Meeting held with Aravind.

Status: Aravind is looking into how we would do this with a directory back-end.

Scope:

• Make technology decision at end of Feb - directory or database
• If we go ahead with a directory, schema available mid-March

Front End

Status: Kick off schedule for March 1 (this phase is dependent on having a design and schema)

Scope:

• Hook up a front end to the database to allow for adding, retrieving, editing data.

Email

Status: Resolved

Scope:

• For mass mailings (for instance, to invite all Mozillians to a future Summit) we can export a CSV file and import that to Responsys. We can look into additional integration if needed in future phases.

Security

Status: On hold until Firefox 4 release

Scope:

• Review LDAP schema and security design
• The aim is to put all the security in the directory

Privacy

Status: In process

Resources: Alex Fowler

Scope:

• Privacy team's view of the question: in a Mozilla context, who gets access to what?
• Is there anything they want the designer to take into account?

Legal

Status: In process

Resources: Alex, Julie and Liz

Scope:

• Do we need a new privacy policy? If so, what is it?
• Needs to take into account the community-process-based access mechanisms, which means that we can't tell people exactly who will get access to their data

Community

Status: In process

Scope:

• See if we can come up with one, or at worst two, data access proposals
• Conduct community research into it/them

Copy/Messaging

Status: Kick-off on 3/1

Scope:

• Create compelling message about Mozilla and getting involved for key pages: home page, about page, profile creation, etc.

Communications/Promotions

Status: In process

Scope:

• Identify places to promote the Mozillians site (such as expanded Get Involved section and Community page)
• Identify people to contact about site to create a seed group of 600 Mozillians (such as list of invitees to Summit + Employees)
