We intend to foster a fun and inclusive development community by taking advantage of agile/XP practices (e.g. test-driven-development, pair-programming, collaborating face-to-face via videochat)
For stuff that doesn't already have its own code process (eg Firefox), our evolving workflow page has guidelines.
What We're Doing: Goals
Communications
- Chat - #paladin on irc.mozilla.org
- paladin-dev Google group - discussion wanting feedback from the larger group of developers
- Video - we're finding things similar to F2F interaction are incredibly efficient (we've seen Google+ and Skype work well so far)
- Blog - XXX link here soon
- Meetings - agendas/notes for meetings
Conduct
Conduct (language adapted from the Rust project)
- Please be kind and courteous. There’s no need to be mean or rude.
- Respect that people have differences of opinion and that every design or implementation choice carries a trade-off and numerous costs. There is seldom a right answer.
- Please keep unstructured critique to a minimum. If you have solid ideas you want to experiment with, make a fork and see how it works.
- We will exclude you from interaction if you insult, demean or harass anyone. That is not welcome behavior.
- Likewise any spamming, trolling, flaming, baiting or other attention-stealing behavior.
