Goals Overview

  • bug 745975 - Pulse: Repack builders for Firefox candidate builds (beta/release) should send out notifications for individual locales
  • bug 757122 - Pulse: Notifications for finished builds should not be send out before the builds are available for download

Project Updates

Gaia UI (Dave)

  • To improve test stability, an open apps are now killed prior to each test
  • Setting/getting settings has been overhauled to be much more robust
  • Various other improvements to test stability

WebAPI (Rob)

  • Developed two WebAPI tests for Proximity Sensor API (under review); raised issue concerning two of the event attributes (bug 814043)
  • Developed two WebAPI tests for verifying marking SMS messages read/unread (under review)
  • Developed a WebAPI WebTelephony test to verify correct behaviour when attempt to have more than one call on hold simultaneously
  • Began developing a WebAPI test to verify ability to send/receive multipart SMS with maximum segments (10); raised issue as simulating incoming SMS of 3 or more segments fails on 2nd try (bug 814761)
  • Emulator crash (bug 790463) was resolved fixed by development and all Telephony tests are once again running on TBPL; however there is a new random orange, this time with the B2G process crashing on the emulator (bug 814551)

WebRTC (Henrik)

  • Identified failing crashtest for Cipc. We most likely want to disable WebRTC tests for that testrun
  • Identified and reported all found memory leaks with crashtests
  • Working on the first Mochitest for PeerConnection

Softvision Updates

  • Review needed:
    • bug 812114 - Add an observer for the stop() method in private-browsing.js shared module
  • Blocked
    • bug 795398 - Mozmill test to check that MD5 hash signatures are no longer accepted

      • it appears that with the online page it works, I will update tomorrow the bug with details

      • no reports since 11/18
    • bug 772360 - Mozmill test failure //testBookmarks_AddAndRemoveBookmarkViaAwesomeBar/ with error "The bookmark was created "
      • fix patch is not ok, per Dave we need another element to wait for instead of "starred"
      • while investigating what other element to wait for, I found that the issue does not reproduce at all with latest Nightly build
