There have been a few really high-profile regression in Mozilla.com's redirects; in order to turn-around testing much more quickly and with more confidence, we should automate Mozilla.com URLs as much as possible.
What we need:
- in-product page testing
- locale-redirect testing from Mozilla.com -> Mozilla Europe
Ensure that bugs like:
- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=526923
- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=505031
don't happen again.
These should help us get started; we should also work with morgamic and buchanan to figure out what else needs testing.
The tests should, if possible
- be able to be run on trunk.stage as well as production
- be well-commented enough that someone completely unfamiliar with the tests can understand what each does
- test both http/https
