  • [Florin] General ststus:
    • 36 Beta 10 & ESR 31.5.0 tested today
    • we have a request from Lawrence to review a series of image related fixes set to uplift to Firefox 37 Aurora
      • he is worried about the size of the changes in this area so close to merge
      • will work on this starting tomorrow
  • [Florin] Starting today (it seems) we are once again getting HTML5 for Youtube on Windows (both 36 and 35) - please keep us in the loop and let us know whether any sort of testing is needed for Youtube

    • Amazon product videos enabled on Nightly. Next - IMDB, PBS, others
    • Ad initiative


  • YouTube MSE automation [sydpolk]
    • maja_zf has started writing marionette python tests for video playback
    • syd has lots of MSE jobs up and running (web-platform)
      • All Mac and Windows nightly tests are running
      • Adding Aurora tests
      • Need to add Beta - blocked on mozdownload bug
    • now looking into EME test plan

  • Stability looks pretty bad, mostly due to bug 1133190, we hope backouts for b10 fixed all new issues
  • We pushed b10 live just before this meeting started
  • RC probably going to build tomorrow and shipping Friday
  • We probably will only be able to give a go for release from stability POV on Tuesday, so cutting it very close.

Aurora (Fx 37) (Desktop - KaiRo Mobile - Aaron/Kevin)

  • Will need some testing on bug 1126837 next week when 38 goes to Dev Edition.

Security

  • DLL Hijacking issue has been been mostly fixed but waiting for another fix to address issues in Win XP/Vista/7 before making the other two tickets public
  • Last 1024-bit signed root cert scheduled for removal in Fx37
  • More TLS/SSL changes in Fx37/Fx38
