  • Attendees: marcia, matt, ashughes, aaront, abillings, dave hunt, henrik, tchung, marco, tomcat, geo

Discussion Items

Project Status

CrashKill [tomcat/marcia]

  • Tomcat:
    • Monitoring Crash-stats and bringing more Topsite/CrashTests VM's online
  • marcia
    • Daily review of dbaron report and bugs are filed for all new signatures that have volume

Accessibility Status Update [marco]

  • Our big thing is still bug 498015 which is under heavy testing by me virtually every minute of every day I spend on the web. And things are looking good.
  • David and Surkov are in MV this week and talking to people about making further progress on this and other issues.

Community Building/Events (ideas and progress) [marcia/tomcat]

  • Tomcat
    • For 2010 all Events stopped because of Christmas Season and people busy with christmas shopping instead of going to Events :)
    • For 2011 Event planning like CeBIT ongoing

QA Videos [marcia]

  • Rainer did a rough cut of the "Making Mozilla Better" video. Will need some polish and possibly will need to re-record some of the screencasts.
    • The original plan was to have one video that would cover three main areas: GrafxBot, Input and Crash Reporter. Thinking about maybe doing separate videos for each area.

QMO [aakashd/abillings]

  • QMO 3.0 successfully deployed
    • Need QA org to put a sustained effort into moving documents into it. We can turn on XML-RPC to allow for third party editors if people prefer (Al uses Marsedit).
    • Switched to Buddypress system, which makes teams into actual groups with forums and members.
    • Individual team forums need to be monitored and used by both leads and members of the various teams. Previous forum attempts didn't do well due to neglect by QA community leaders.
  • Working on QMO 3.5 and 4.0 schedules. Achievements was scheduled for 3.5 but may be moved to 4.0 now due to time constraints and other work going on in 4.0.

Roundtable

  • Bugdays/Testdays [ashughes]
    • Documentation - merge into a single document?

      • Bugdays page has some useful info
      • Common place for all test events, can be forked later if needed
    • Events - under a single "Make Firefox Better" banner?
      • Single event providing activities of both
      • More inclusive
      • Emphasize clarity, communication, and guidance
    • Points/Rewards
      • See etherpad
      • Tasks/Points make sense?
      • Testers vs Contributors?
      • Rewards?
