Actions From Last Week

  • Arrange Loop meeting [jsmith]
    • Done!
  • Follow up re: Air Mozilla [ctalbert] - emailed, we should have a response and a recording week after next

Discussion Zone

  • [marcia] What will 20K active contributors do? See David Boswell's post here:
  • Thinking differently about automation
  • Focusing on tutorials and teaching, which is different from documentation
  • Imagine we had a hundred people - how would we work what would we change, thinking in that way might help us realize what we would do differently to make our workflow scalable
  • Suggestion by Clint to take discussion to dev-quality or to continue in the Champions mtg

    • 30.0b3 to ship Friday
  • ESR (mwobensmith)
  • Stability (KaiRo)
    • Apart from some well-tracked churn on Nightly, numbers look good
    • Android release numbers look pretty awesome, actually, could be our best release so far in stability (will see about that when we have more data)!
  • Automation (ashughes)
  • Security (mwobensmith)
    • Key pinning landed on Fx32
    • Ongoing mozilla::pkix testing

Mobile (Tchung)

  • Firefox for Android (Kbrosnan/AaronMT)
    • 30b2 out the door today
    • 29.0.1 in the works
    • Stability (kbrosnan)
  • Firefox OS (jsmith/nhirata)
    • Open C 1.4 Test Run nearly completed - 94% coverage completed as of yesterday
    • Localization Test Run for 1.4 ongoing

    • Final verifications & testing for Tarako active

  • Bouncer
    • no updates this week
  • Engagement Projects
    • no updates this week
  • Firefox Health Report
    • no updates this week
  • Firefox Marketplace
    • Weekly release went live on 05/06
    • test fixes, updating tests
  • Mozillians
    • no updates this week
  • MDN
    • no updates this week
  • Socorro
    • continuous deployment; nothing (I believe) to call out (mbrandt was out too)

Firefox Automation (Whimboo)

  • General
  • Projects
    • Mozmill
      • The massive jsbridge disconnect issues seem to be gone since we increased the delay for the addon installation dialog. It still needs to be fully investigated
      • Working with RelEng on Pulse update notifications (see bug 735184)
    • TPS
      • All tests are passing locally - not sure why on our CI some tests are failing. Actually the machine seems to be very fragile and broken for a couple of services like VNC. So it may be related. We might want to get the new system setup as soon as possible. Where should this be?
