4.0 Beta 11 Test Plan

L10n Spot Checks (Mozilla QA)

Starting beta 11 we will run the automated basic functional tests (BFTs) using Mozmill on almost all localized builds. You can see some preliminary results here. The test suite is still being stabilized as there are a few false positives which are being investigated which could be due to problems with Mozmill itself. For now you can sort by platform and check Windows 32 bit results.

During this run nothing serious has been found. See report.

Community Spot Checks

If you would like to help run spot checks on a localized build of your choice, please enter your results in this section.

If you file a bug, please add "[4b11]" without the quotes on the Whiteboard field so we can query the bugs filed during this testing cycle.

Windows 7 (gmontagu)

  • Locale: es-AR
  • Date: Feb 4, 2011
  • Result: PASS
  • Build ID: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:2.0b10) Gecko/20100203 Firefox/4.0b11
  • Notes: I ran a Web Compatibility App test. I found two issues: View open video: Dailymotion has no issue but if I choose to enable the Beta HTML5 player, then going back to the video site when I try to see a video I sometimes get a message about needing a plugin. The autosearch doesn't find the needed one and I'm referred to the https://addons.mozilla.org/es-ES/firefox/browse/type:7. Bug 628466 filed. Embedded Window Media Player plugin test: I don't have the Windows Media Player plugin installed and it seems there's no Windows 7 version, so I couldn't install it.
