Notes from the Mozilla Reps Council meeting on 2015/09/23 02:30:00 PM.

Council Chair

We decided who's going to be the new Council chair for October and November. Stay tuned for more information in a few days since we don't want to spoil the surprise :)

Budget Request Votings

We got a lot of >$500 budget votings to do. We acknowledged that there is a lot coming and we'll give our best to be on time for all of the votings.

Application Queue

Ankit and Shahid will help out Nuke with the application queue for new Reps applications. The goal is to have this down as fast as possible to not have > 9 month application wait times in the future.

Participation Heartbeat Items

We agreed that it would be beneficial to have a weekly Participation Team update on the Council call to get up to speed if somebody didn't have time to follow the GitHub issues. This will cover everything that is Reps- or regional community-related. We will also share this as part of our Council meeting notes to update anyone else who is interested.

Open Work on Trello

As always we worked through the open Trello cards which are either "Stalled" or "In Progress". We definitely identified the Budget Training as P1 and will drive this forward as far as we can. With this we will enable everyone to improve their personal skills regarding budgets while keeping the Budget Requests on a high level quality and having the chance to do strategic thinking as well as approving the requests in time. Further we will continue to talk to local communities and help them to get the best out of their community meetups.

As always, you can jump in as well and help out, just either leave a comment on the trello card or ping anyone of the Council members to get more information and to help out. You can find the Trello board here:
