'''Project Description:'''
[https://github.com/mozilla-services/pageshot/ Page Shot], a screenshot tool for Firefox, will be shipping with Firefox mid-June. Our small team's focus during the time of the internship will be running A/B tests on the product and refining the experience based on what we learn.
There's several areas where an intern could be of impactful to the project: (a) * We are collecting behavioral data on how people use the tool, and plan to make changes through the summer based on what we learn. Someone with skills and interest in analyzing this kind of data (in our case Google Analytics and survey data) would be great. (b) If the intern could be contributing Some of what we want to development directly, learn from the tool data may require data analysis outside of Google Analytics.* We have many product goals. Page Shot is written in fairly built as a WebExtension using pretty straight-forward Javascript, JavaScript. The server is built with Node.js and a React. Someone with knowledge of JavaScript together with HTML/CSS is of course always usefulcan get in and make positive changes quickly.(c) * Our basic experience will be in placeby the summer, but there will be many opportunities for optimizing the performance and size of the screenshots and pages that we're delivering. This may include , including offline access. In addition to development skills this will require research and experimentation to plan out the best approach. If you are interested please [https://github.com/mozilla-services/pageshot/ check out the repository] and try to follow the instructions. If you have problems that's okay! We want to make setup easy for everyone, but we still have work to do. Come to the [https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.mozilla.org/pageshot IRC channel] so we can help get you setup and improve the experience for future people. We have not yet identified a good set of starter bugs, but will do so – please email ibicking@mozilla.com if you'd like to get an update when that is ready.
