Problems have been reported with:
= Unaffected Antivrus Packages =
The following programs have generally been observed as working reported to work well with Thunderbird . (but This is not proof that these products can't have problems):
*AVG Antivirus - (revised) from [https://getsatisfaction.com/mozilla_messaging/topics/avg_email_scanner_disabled] "[AVG] are no longer going to support the Thunderbird plugin because of the frequent updates of Thunderbird." And you may see problems with older versions (like 9.0.830). AVG may cause slow downloading of pop mail [http://gsfn.us/t/o1qa]. and AVG 9.0 may slow down sending with TB 3.1.x if set to scan outgoing messages) [http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=9663497#p9663497].
