'** We Releases ship releases when the Thunderbird code is '''ready''' based on testing and other factors, not on a specific date certain. So take any documented dates you see with a grain of salt - because we will lag by some number of days or weeks, not ship by a published date. Not seeing the "newest" version at the [https://www.thunderbird.net/ Thunderbird home page]? Do not worry, it is just not yet ready for release.

Thunderbird gets new features and bug fixes as volunteers have time to work on them and fix them. There are no schedules for features or specific fixes that can be communicated to users. But If you can get newer want new features as they become available in sooner than normal, use the beta mentioned above.
