Glossary of Terms
; Pre-alpha: The project is in the early stages. Much of the work consists of investigating and experimenting with code and platform compatibility. There are no official releases during pre-alpha, but we do make nightly builds and development builds available for feedback.
; Alpha: Multiple bugs and known issues emerge in the Alpha stage. In Alpha, users should not expect full functionality. There are typically multiple Alpha releases before the software is resilient and robust enough to move to Beta.
; Beta: Bugs and known issues have been identified and continue to be resolved. In Beta, the project focus moves towards polish and enhancements around UI and performance. There are typically multiple Beta releases before the software is performing exceptionally for the user, void of with no major bugs and blockers.
; RC: A Release Candidate (RC) is identified at the end of a Beta cycle. This is a build of the software that only requires minor updates and enhancements until it is ready to be publicly available for download and general use.
; GA: Final 1.0 version of Firefox is generally available to download and use.
