Redesign and optimize all contributor recruitment channels

Purpose Audit and redesign the recruitment channels, both online and offline to attract more new contributors


Outcome Redesign of the "Superheroes wanted" page, the contribute list process and the other onboarding materials

Redesign of the how to get involved pages

Plan for the redesign of the pages and the introduction of a contributor registration funnel

Project plan

Mid April:

  • Contact creative to agree on a time frame for the creation of visual materials or an alternative to work independently from them

Mid May: Audit the existing channels:

  • analyze strengths and weaknesses
  • provide recommendations for changes
  • collect metrics for those channels, if not available set a plan for getting metrics

Channels to analyze

  • Offline Channels
    • ReMo SIG program
    • Regional community events
    • MozCamps
    • Swag/promotional material for SUMO (e.g. flyers)
  • New Channels
    • Firefox Clinics
    • New recruiting programs (e.g. KB college connection)

End of May:

  • Detailed plan of changes
  • Get back to creative with requierements

Mid June:

  • First channels redesigned

June:

  • Blog about the process
