Incident call out:

  1. FxA security incident impacting 143k accounts. Here's an approved reactive comms you can use:

On March 29, 2023, a security researcher reported the discovery of a cache of Firefox user accounts on a security forum. After reviewing the list of accounts, Mozilla’s Security Incident Response Team determined that 143k accounts were impacted, fewer than initial claims. On March 31, 2023, Mozilla disabled the passwords on these accounts, meaning users can no longer access their account unless they change their password. Firefox users who were impacted were sent an email with instructions to login and change their passwords. There is no indication Mozilla’s security was breached.

For more information on how Firefox securely saves passwords, please see here. For more information on how to create secure passwords to keep your identity safe, please see here.
