Strike Teams

A quick note about scoring for the Strike Teams. Please keep track of score at the team level and what people make up your team. Each person on the team will be awarded the same score for their joint effort.

Tabbed Browsing

WHEN: Tuesday, September 14, 2010 - 11am to 6pm PDT (1800-0100Z)

WHERE: irc.mozilla.org #bugday

WHAT: Tabbed Browsing is a long standing feature in Firefox which allows users to browse multiple web pages in a single window by placing each page in its own tab. Today we will be vetting the current set of testcases, creating testcases for any in-litmus? bugs, and writing exploratory testcases for any fixed bugs.

Things to Do
  • If you haven't already filled out our survey, please take a couple of minutes to do so
  • Cross-reference these testcases with this list of bugs
    • If the test matches the expected behaviour of the bug, put your name, the Litmus ID, the Bugzilla ID, and the testcase summary in spreadsheet
    • If the bug does not have a matched testcase, fill out the spreadsheet leaving the Litmus ID blank, contact someone on IRC if you need help or to review the testcase for you
  • Go through the in-litmus? list of bugs and create tests for them in the spreadsheet (same as above)

Session Store

WHEN: Wednesday, September 15, 2010 - 11am to 2pm PDT (1800-2100Z)

WHERE: irc.mozilla.org #bugday

WHAT: Session Store is a long standing feature in Firefox which allows users to recover the browser from a crash. Today we will be vetting the current set of Litmus testcases and creating exploratory testcases against any fixed bugs.

Things to Do
  • If you haven't already filled out our survey, please take a couple of minutes to do so
  • Go through these bugs and see if a testcase exists in Litmus
    • If a testcase exists whose expected behaviour matches the bug, put your name, the Litmus ID, the Bugzilla ID, and the testcase summary in spreadsheet
    • If the bug does not have a testcase, add the testcase to the spreadsheet leaving the Litmus ID blank, contact someone on IRC if you need help or to review the testcase for you
    • Begin the summary of each testcase with [sessionstore]
  • Create testcases from the first four sections of this testplan in the spreadsheet

  • Create testcases History > Restore Previous Session feature

Panorama

WHAT: Panorama (aka Tab Candy) is a new feature in Firefox which allows users to group and organize their tabs. Today we will be creating testcases for any in-litmus? bugs, and creating exploratory testcases against any open bugs.
