What is Cloud Services?
Mozilla Cloud Services are a group of various Platforms that have been built to support offerings such as:
- Sync
- Sync 1.5 and Tokenserver
- Heka
- Firefox Accounts
- Location Service
- Firefox Mobile Services
- Marketplace
- SimplePush Server
- and others
What is The Cloud?
- It's the internet.
- It's shorthand for a lot of complex, interconnected things.
- It's what lies between "Collect unmentionables" and "Profit".
- It's a lousy place to build castles, unless you like raining bricks across the countryside.
What can Cloud Services do for me?
Cloud Services is about providing scalable platforms for back end services. We can provide guidance, advice and support to help the various bits you'd like talking to each other to do so.
What won't Cloud Services do for me?
- Register domains for you (Probably want to do it yourself, or file a bug.)
- Give you boxes to play with (Sadly, the Cloud isn't free, but we can suggest options that might work for you).
- Run your app as is. (If you want to work with us, fantastic! You can start by copying this template and start filling out the project details. )
