What is the Student Working Group?

The Student Working Group is a dedicated collection of Mozilla Reps who serve as leaders in the Student Ambassador program and help determine its goals, structure, activities, and yearly plan.

The Student Working Group is responsible for:

  • Integrating students into large-scale Mozilla Rep campaigns
  • Recognizing and rewarding students who have done an *amazing* job
  • Driving our social media channels
  • Guiding and advising Firefox Club Leads
  • Mentoring individuals who are new to the program and community

How does one join the Student Working Group?

The Student Working Group is currently only open to Mozilla Reps

In March 2013, Reps will be asked to self-nominate themselves for one of the roles within the Working Group. At the start of this program, the ReMo Council will be selecting those initial members of the Working Group for terms of 6 months (regular members) and one year (Regional Mentors).

Only those individuals chosen will able to participate in the original Working Group. Moving forward, this launch Group will work to set election guidelines and policies for future members. In order to make sure others will have the opportunity to be involved, each person is only eligible to serve two years in the Working Group.

The Rep members of the Working Group do not necessarily need to be students (but this would be beneficial).
