Talk Length (please choose between 30, 60, 90, 120 minutes): 60 minutes (could do 30 if necessary)

Summary:

  • Learn what's new for MDN – the new wiki platform & localization capabilities, what's coming in the next few months (a site redesign, new features).
  • How to contribute to & hack on the MDN and where we need help from your community
  • Discuss the new documentation reps program & get feedback from Mozillians on the program
  • Plan MDN events in your region! Organize hack days, documentation and localization sprints for your community.

How your session furthers the MozCamp Goals: This will be a workshop on how to make contributing to MDN - as a writer, localizer, or coder - more effective in your region and give attendees a clear path to contribute and take-on leadership roles for documentation.

Expected Outcome or Deliverable: Attendees will be empowered to contribute to MDN, host events, and take on leadership roles on documentation.

Desired Audience Type or Skill-set: Anyone interested in making our web technology documentation better and more relevant for your community/region/language.
