Feature Status Review

  • Firefox 98 Beta
    • Remove the download modal is currently considered challenged due to a new security issue around memory leaks with PDF. Team normally reports their new status update on Friday. Hoping this work will be back on track by then.
    • Audio Remoting Core work (implement and enable a new AudioIPC layer) is for Windows ONLY. I'm working to get an update from Jim on this and what the current thinking will be for MacOS
    • Moving from repacks to langpacks removed from the forecast. New landing date is unknown.
  • Firefox 99 Nightly
    • Service Worker NavigationPreloadManager API has been slipped from Fx98
    • OffscreenCanvas WebGPU backing context slipped to Fx101
