Aurora

  • Overall rate: 2.5 - browser: 1.8, content: 0.7 - red
    • shutdown hang affecting beta also making aurora rates very high
    • some other topcrash fixes should just have uplifted so we should be in good shape in next few days.


Beta

  • Overall rate: 1.4 - red
  • bug 1247380 (gfx) seems to be fixed in b9
  • networking-related shutdownhangs are down to 4.3% of early b9 crashes
  • bug 1232229 (FinalizeTypedArenas) is 2.2% - probably fixed in b10
  • jemalloc_crash suddenly jumped to 4.9%, need to figure out if those are shifted signatures or a new issue
  • SelectorMatches and `anonymous namespace::NameResolver::resolve are startup crashes that also suddely are spiking and need investigation if they continue to happen for more installations (right now, each only seems to happen for 8 installations)
  • those three signatures are the 3 Top Crash Scores for b9 atm.

  • (Read only) Ongoing e10s testing, focusing on Password Manager due to lack of automated test coverage, additionally performing bug re-triage and confirmation of e10s/APZ bugs

  • [Andrei] Finished running the periodical WebRTC Smoke Test Suite on Fx46 – https://goo.gl/bBiYFN (1 new bug: 1250838)
  • [mobile] The major update for Aurora mobile is that we are currently testing Add-on signing, so far no major/blocker issue found -> will be in 46 beta

  • [Andrei] Stub Installers Smoke Test Suite executed on 45.0b6 – https://goo.gl/p3WlXI (0 new bugs)
  • [Andrei] UI Smoke Testing performed on 45.0b9-build2 for Ubuntu – 0 new bugs found following the switch to gtk2

      • For 46.0b1, we would like to push on Wed 3/9 but we can add a buffer of 2 days to push it latest by Friday 3/11
    • Huge improvement for release management & QE
    • we save lots of time not rebuilding everything!
    • a few blocking issues (permafail)
    • chemspills will be faster, i can hardly wait
