Stability
- After the recent Socorro deployment, we are seeing cross platform issues: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1506781 - EMPTY: no crashing thread identified; unknown error
- ~80% of new incoming crashes aren't properly processed and end up with this signature
- Now fixed, but crashes still need to be reprocessed
Nightly
firefox nightly summary score - data is missing, https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1506862 on file, Thursday 8.44
- Web Replay Filed https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1506873, probably fixed by another bug
- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1503787 remains the top content crasher on nightly
- Most recent nightly crash triage: https://wiki.mozilla.org/NightlyCrashTriage/2018Q4#2018-11-12_-_marcia
Beta
firefox beta summary score: 2.27, Thursday 2.44
- speculative fix for shutdownhangs going into b8 didn't yield a clear result: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1498942
- new patch/workaround is to stop capturing minidumps for content shutdownkills during shutdown
Release
firefox release summary score: 2.54, Thursday 2.69
- increased OOM crashes with presence of symantec software: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1505094
- do we have any line of communication with them to forward this issue?
- About 7500 crashes will have to be reprocessed due to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1506781
Mobile
- Crash rate is calculated based on usage hours (the time Firefox is actively used).
- Usage hours will be significantly lower on Fennec than on desktop Firefox, so we can't compare mobile rates to desktop rates.
Release
fennec release summary score: 27.31, Thursday 30.35
- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1491334 is in the top 3 crashes, but the device isn't something we have access to
- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1503255 continues to be the top crash. Discussed in triage, probably not much we can do about it unless we exert some effort investigating the other ways the crash is happening
- a number of crash comments indicate private browsing tabs & switching away from the browser to another app might be involved
Beta
fennec beta summary score: 30.20, Thursday 31.11
- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1499618 is the top 3, but was backed out of beta so we should see the crashes disappear in the next beta
Nightly
fennec nightly summary score: 35.32, Thursday 37.02
- #2 top crash assigned to jchen - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1457273. Do we know where those ni will go?
- marcia pinged dbolter to see what will happen to his bugs
