Action Items / Takeaways from Last Week

  • Stephen to post to the mailing list about the ReMo project timeline
  • Use the build-timeout plugin for jobs that are likely to, well, timeout :-)
  • People should send their tasks + Pivotal Trackers + |in-testsuite?| for the upcoming work-week Testday to Dave
  • rbillings will keep the team posted on when the QMO planning meetings will occur so we can all participate

Discussion Items / Updates

  • TeamRo needs a few tasks they can work on fairly independently during our work week. Some suggestions:
    • Finish implementing MPL2 across projects
    • Create initial marketplace tests based on Marlena's branch of tests for apps-preview-dev
      • Marketplace already has the amotesting user
      • github pull request 357 from Marlena(closed) can be used as a blueprint for the tests
    • Work on this goal: "Sanity tests on mobile for the following projects: Mozillians, Mozilla.com (OneMozilla), Input, and SUMO...log in, log out, page title check, search (positive), click-through test (navigate through two pages of a user-flow)"
      • They need to know how to run tests on the Tegra board
      • Is it ok for them to change the folder structure on projects without a "mobile" folder?
      • We need to be careful this doesn't clash with live test day tasks - I'm expecting a lot of interest in mobile
  • Work week
    • propose focused sessions in the Etherpad? Then we'll get them on Lanyrd
      • "Minimum" sessions: community brainstorming, Engagement-project brainstorming, performance-testing strategies, BHAGs (rough goals for Q2), etc.
        • with the goal to make it light and fun, while still getting the most-important stuff done :-)
    • Miniature golf on Wednesday evening, since we're all down in Mountain View anyway? (Rather than Tuesday.)
  • Should be getting our 2nd Tegra2 soon
    • I'm concerned by "this one is just flaky for automation"...
  • Selenium Grid
    • Setting up additional Grid in Phoenix
    • Remove node from qa-selenium?
    • Upgrade to 2.19?
  • New contributor Leah Klearman (based in SF) is doing some coding work for us on sumo-tests. Thanks Leah.
  • Work week snacks from UK

Project Status / goals for next week (keep it brief)

  • Engagement projects
  • AMO
    • organized tracker tasks for the upcoming testday
    • focused on additional test coverage and fixes this week

    • tried out the plugin and it aborted everything, so turned it off
  • Input
  • Jetpack Builder (aka FlightDeck)
    • Bebe did a big pull changing page objects.
    • Plans to add a lot more test coverage during the testday.
  • Mozilla.com
  • Mozillians
  • MDN
  • Socorro
  • SUMO
    • 2/14 release went out, Chief the Big Red Button was used to deploy the release successfully for the first time.
    • 2/21 release in process
    • Some maintenance being done to sumo-tests by Zac and Leah
  • Case Conductor
    • Rushing to complete the .8 sprint
    • Working on getting instance up on allizom.org for testing - until then we're testing locally
