Action Items / Takeaways from Last Week

  • Takeaways:
    • Krupa and Stephend will work to schedule FF OS Automation meeting- see Action items
    • Davehunt will look into wifi issue, may not be specific to guest network. zac/davehunt- look into a delay, or something to get gaia resurrected?
  • Action Items:
    • Meeting with zac, krupa, some of the devs for Firefox OS automation - Stephen
      • Krupa and Stephen to meet, then schedule a wider discussion
    • stephend to look into whether/how we can get individual team posts fed into https://blog.mozilla.org/webqa/
      • pinged #it, looked at plugins that are already installed but not active; #willKeepDigging
      • contributor suggested a plugin, but there are questions if it's appsec reviewed, etc.
    • rbillings to write blurb on sasha
    • mbrandt, davehunt, zac to work with pragmatic on improving mozwebqabot's workflow - Bob
      • an email thread was started, got some feedback- need more feedback, maybe also a meeting. Bob will summarize thread and pursue a meeting if feedback indicates it.
    • Rbillings to ping pragmatic about a QMO post
      • Pragmatic has been ponged, waiting on her responses. ~rbillings
    • Stephend: Find someone to add QMO automation issues on the github tracker
    • Bobsilverberg to take a look at mozwebqa templates - checking to see that they are up to date, accurate, etc.
    • Stephend: take a look at xfails in input prod; will add github issue. Did AlinT volunteer to take this?
    • need retornam or similar to look at QA selenium 6 for download issue
    • Everyone: add easy automation tasks in github, marked as "Beginner" or Intermediate/Advanced for upcoming Selenium workshop in Cluj. Need lots of easier level tasks.

  • Remo-tests project needs to be added to the Mozilla Github repository- but it requires someone with permissions to create it. ~Rbillings
  • Is there interest in hosting an uncon around Boot Strapping Open Source communities ~ mbrandt
  • Are there projects that would like to mentor community members on a long-term basis? ~ mbrandt
  • What selenium version is Saucelabs using? the ActionChains methods are failing with FF19: http://qa-selenium.mv.mozilla.com:8080/job/sumo.fft.saucelabs/1519/ ~AlinT
    • looks like they are on Se 2.30 - we should ping them about upgrading ~bsilverberg
