  • Stability (KaiRo)
    • 36 RC build1 was running into the "AMD crasher", we needed a build2 for that.
    • We have brought 36 stability down to wanted levels just in time for release. We should try to not have such close calls in the future, will bring that up in post-mortem.

Beta (Fx37) (Desktop - KaiRo Mobile - Aaron)

Mobile: https://wiki.mozilla.org/QA/Fennec/36

  • We'll try to get MSE ready once again for this release, for YouTube only, on Mac and Windows (not Linux for the moment, it should stay with Flash right now).
  • Lots of fixes for OOM issues with MSE landed in Dev Edition 37, let's hope that helped.
  • We should be able to sign off for b1 today even though we are scheduled to ship only on Thursday.

Aurora (Fx 38) (Desktop - KaiRo Mobile - Aaron/Kevin)

Mobile: https://wiki.mozilla.org/QA/Firefox#Release_Owners General Testplan: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Releases/Firefox_37/Test_Plan

  • This is the first Developer Edition to officially ship for Win64. This fact will be promoted next week on GDC.

Nightly (Fx 39) (Desktop - KaiRo Mobile - Aaron/Kevin)

ESR (Fx 31.5.0)

Security

  • DLL Hijacking issue has been been mostly fixed but waiting for another fix to address issues in Win XP/Vista/7 before making the other two tickets public
  • Last 1024-bit signed root cert scheduled for removal in Fx37
  • More TLS/SSL changes in Fx37/Fx38

Automation (whimboo)

  • General

  • Mozmill
    • Mozmill 2.0.10 and mozmill-automation 2.0.10 have been released
    • We are going do disable all the tests which have failures except for security and update tests, which we have to keep up2date for our test conversion
    • We are facing lots of crashes while running our tests across all platforms. I'm going to file new bugs and disable affected tests.
    • We stop running tests for ESR31 nightly builds, for addons, and endurance due to low priority
    • We may also stop running tests on OS X 10.6 soon due to no available replacement mac minis

CLINT: Kairo & Henrik: Here is the bug query with issues: http://mzl.la/1Gv4bYt

  • Marionette
    • Given the feedback of QE we are now targeting security and update tests as P1. If there is time we can continue with tabbed browsing and location bar tests.
    • Lots of activities here with about 7 security tests in the work and close to be landed - for others the deps (security lib and page info window) will also land soon
    • Bob Silverberg started on the software update module and will continue with the about window soon; Henrik will start this week with the implementation of the necessary harness features
    • Thanks a lot to a couple of our contributors who are working on patches!
  • Tests
