Project Status

CrashKill [tomcat/marcia]

• Crashkill mtg not held on Monday due to Holiday
• Investigating some malware crashes that are the #1 and #2 crashes in B11

• tomcat:
  • Investigating Crashes on Beta and Stable Release
  • new Skype extension launched - blocklist is updated
  • Vista SP1 in Testing - Crash and TopSite worker updated

Accessibility Status Update [marco]

• We got our API blockers all fixed for beta 12 and are mainly reacting to crash reports now. The last big change that landed was bug 629358 which helps a newer assistive technology vendor add support for Firefox 4.

Community Building/Events (ideas and progress) [marcia/tomcat]

• Need to follow up with Mary/William re: upcoming events
• Currently no Drumbeat events on the radar. The festival will be held again in November, but there is not a location yet.
  • Mark Surman envisions having more 'Mozilla Events' where Drumbeat is a part of the content alongside other content elements. This will likely happen later in the year.

• Tomcat:
  • lots of work for CeBIT next week - i'm basically all time there next week

QA Videos [marcia]

• No real updates at the moment re: videos. Still waiting for information about where we will house videos on QMO.

QMO [abillings]

• Al meeting with Eric Meyer today to discuss graphics and theme work for QMO 4.0 and achievements.
• Al documenting QMO configuration and setup (since it is undoc'd).
• Al working to get information on how to push to staging.
  • Will update staging server for current plugin updates and for achievements work once we can update it.

TCM [aakashd]

• Finished up the .2 PRD review with uTest
• Non-functional Wireframes for .2 are up on Carl's devsite
• ETA on release is shooting for 2/11

Roundtable

• QMO Documentation Visibility (ashughes c/o aaronmt)
  • Need a way to make documents more visible to community, especially newcomers
  • Aaron suggests something like the "Popular Docs" widget on dev.mo
  • Place between "Upcoming Events" widget and "Join Mozilla" widget
  • Any concerns? questions? opposition?
• New QMO t-shirt to help recruiting at tester community events (davehunt)
  • 'Ask me about testing for Mozilla!' or similar...
  • We have an existing ample supply of QMO shirts and should deploy them as rewards [marcia]
    • Suggest having a set of QA specific items we can reward as people climb the involvement ladder

    • Upload videos - all the plugins as galleries for still images
    • Plugins for video but all focused on transcoding on how - someone to actually work on a plugin for - upload the videos to the media library -
  • AI: Al to investigate existing plugin (Wordtube on your site - gallery)
    • If we do a custom plugin how will that get added to the QMO 4 work -> out of band through contractors -
    • Want to be able to Display them and view them - Include that in the examination and see if it worth doing - standard way of having them presented
  • Al talking to Eric Meyer today
    • Documenting the QMO configuration setup

  • Got some feedback from surveymonkey and got some bugs filed

  • Aaron Train suggesting it is hard to find documents - DevMo implementation. Popular documents widget added to the site.
    • AI - Bug or etherpad needs to be created to track this issue

    • Could we Bring shirts to events?
      • AI - Marcia needs to create a Program that how we want to define rewards -> goes hand in hand with the badge system
