Location of Work (where do you reside?): Mountain View, CA and San Francisco, CA

Talk Length (please choose between 30, 60, 90, 120 minutes): 60-90 minutes

Summary:

The workshop is focused on leveraging the new localized Volunteer pages and helping volunteer communities do the following:

1) Identify the project contribution needs in their areas. 2) Create criteria and mentoring goals. 3) Effectively develop a system of local on-boarding that will increase participation.

Expected Outcome or Deliverable: Teach community to leverage passive pipeline of new volunteers, mentor them, and recruit new volunteers.

Desired Audience Type or Skill-set: All Contributors and Paid Staff interested in expanding community in local geographies.

Equipment Needs (Video projector already included): Large White Sticky Pads, Markers, large post it notes.
