The Club Lead Training (CLT) is the training program designed for FSAs who wish to become Club Leads/ FSAs who are newly elected Club Leads to increase their understanding of the program as well as their ability to be leaders within the club (and community). Club Leads are expected to share what they have learned in this training to their club members.

This shall be administered by the global FSA Club Development Team and be held online. RALs may create a local version of the training, but they must coordinate with the VP of Club Devt on the CLT Evaluation Exam.

The CLT modules shall be made publicly available on the FSA wiki. However, only those who are officially taking it (those who signed up) shall be sent the link to the CLT Eval Form.

Schedule

• The CLT shall be run in waves. This is to organize applications by batches. The FSAEB shall set and release the schedule of the CLT waves.
• The schedule shall include:
  • The start date of the wave where the CLT Wave Sign-up Form shall be released
  • The date where the the evaluation exam for the wave shall be released and closed.
  • Office hours.
    • Office hours shall be held depending on the schedule of the trainers.
• FSAs who miss the deadline shall have to sign up again for the next wave.
• The CLT sign-up form shall close 3 days before the deadline of the CLT wave, where the CLT Evaluation Exam shall be closed.

October Wave

• Oct. 13- CLT sign-up form opens and CLT modules release.
• Oct. 18- CLT Eval Exam first release (it will be sent every Saturday)
• Oct. 25- October wave sign-up form closes
• Oct. 28- CLT Eval Exam closes

CLT Eval Exam Results Release- TBA

November Wave

• Nov. 10- CLT sign-up form opens.
• Nov. 16- CLT Eval Exam first release (it will be sent every Sat & Sunday on or before 1500H UTC to those who registered from Monday-Sunday 1459H UTC)
• Nov. 28- November wave sign-up form closes at 2359H UTC
• Nov. 30- CLT Eval Exam closes at 2359H UTC

CLT Eval Exam Results Release- Late November to early December

December Wave

There will be no December wave this year for us to have time to evaluate the new CLT process and work on improving it for the next year.

Procedure

1. The aspiring Club Lead/ the Club Lead-elect shall fill out the form to register to the ongoing CLT wave and start the training. Those who didn't register will not be considered an official Club Lead Trainee for the wave and hence all participation in the training shall not be considered.

   • For existing Club Leads who took the old Club Lead Training, contact your RAL for more details. The link was also sent to the fxclubleads mailing list and to all club lead e-mail addresses available on the Firefox Club Directory as of Oct. 12, 2014.
   • For CL-elects who went under a Club Lead election in accordance with the FSA program restructure of Oct. 2014, ask your RAL for the link of the form.
2. To ensure that the submission is not from a spammer/ bot/ poser, the FSA EB shall pre-screen submissions. (Note: You are free to go through the modules anytime even without passing the pre-screening yet.)
3. Upon passing the pre-screening, the FSAEB shall confirm the FSA's CLT application by sending the link to the CLT Evaluation Exam.
4. The Club Lead Trainee proceeds to going through the CLT modules and participate in the Discourse category.
5. The FSAEB shall hold CLT Office Hours to discuss the slides to the applicants and address questions. Trainees are not required to attend the CLT Office Hours.

6. On the set dates, the CLT Evaluation Exam shall be sent to those who signed-up to the CLT wave. The Club Lead Trainee shall complete the exam on the deadline set.
   • The CLT Eval Exam will be sent every Saturday to trainees.
   • The CLT Eval Exam will focus more on open ended and essay-type of questions other than multiple choice/ definition ones.
7. The EB reviews the evaluation exam answers.
8. The EB releases the results of the evaluation.
9. The EB sends an email to the passers containing the link to the Club Registration Form. The Club Devt team shall then handle the creation of the Wiki page based on the info provided.

SPECIAL ITEM: Transitioning due to the FSA Restructure

To transition from the old FSA program to the new one, these procedure shall be undertaken. This CLT transitioning is for existing Club Leads whose academic year for 2014-2015 has already started.

1. RALs will ask the Club Leads to fill out a form to have them enlisted to the CLT.
2. The Club Devt Team and the RALs shall monitor the existing Club Leads who are going under the new CLT/ have completed the new CLT.
3. A 2-month deadline shall be given to the contacted CLs to complete the new CLT.
