Browser ID developer engagement plan

Goal: 600 sites using BrowserID in Q4 2011. At least one or two key, high traffic, high visible sites. List of sites public with nice branding "users of browserID" categorised into different markets.

Strategy: We are going to get 600 sites to use BrowserID by working with the web developers behind them. In order to reach them, we will provide a continuous stream of BrowserID content on the hacks blog, BrowserID blog and Twitter. We will reach out to key influencers in the identity space and our community of Mozillians. Looking forward, we will plan our precense at events Q1 and Q2.

Target audience for Q4:

  • Contract Developers telling companies about login solutions
  • In-house developers looking for simpler identity solutions
  • Startups in need of a identity solution (low hanging fruit)
  • Influencers in the identity space (needs convincing).
