Discussion

  • User Profiles in progress, https://wiki.mozilla.org/BMO/UserProfiles
    • use the same list of products from enter_bug (core, firefox, firefox os, firefox for android, firefox for metro, toolkit, marketplace, thunderbird, seamonkey, localizations, services, other) (sorted alphabetically)
    • Get a security review for the profile, look at the project kickoff form for instructions
      • probably don't want to show number of security bugs (exclude non public data), however this will limit the value of stats for users who work mainly on non-public bugs (IT, legal, marketing, etc).
  • going through every product and component to link documentation or a team page.
  • Cleaning up various wiki pages as a result/byproduct.
    • But it is also endless and all the triaging docs are just proliferating, not merging or synthesizing.
  • What is a minimum viable contributor?
    • "this is a path, even if it isn't a destination"
    • "What did THAT mean?"
    • For a bug day in May, which area, product or component would you suggest we pick?

ask an engineering manager what their quarterly goals are, for the organization? Is there a way to lighten the load on engineering by doing some triaging?

    • b2g and webdev on github? webmaker/foundation?
  • Bugzilla tips videos (discussed last week)
    • gerv mentioned that he was working on a longer video, however i got the impression that his was more of an "introduction to bugzilla" type deal, rather than the short focused "more advanced" tips we were talking about
    • BMO vs. Bugzilla. explain! screencast.
    • talk w richard about hosting (airmozilla)
