Add-ons

Stability

Aurora / Dev Edition

  • Overall rate: 2.4 (target: <1.5) - browser: 1.0, content: 1.4 - trending down
  • continuing to be red because of e10s., but still improving somewhat

Beta

  • Overall rate: 1.1 (slightly higher than last reported)
  • state is yellow as we are visibly higher than 41 beta was, but this is not something we can isolate to specific signatures.
  • some fixes for new issues in 42 landed in b4, hope to see more impact in the overall rate as b4 adoption rises
  • bug 1158189 (HTTP shutdownhang) is 3.1% of 42.0b4 crashes
    • Not really actionnable (37 is wontfix)
    • Bug 1152046 may fix a good part of those but was somewhat risky (perf regression in fxos) when landing on Nightly
  • bug 1182197 (Promise Settle) is 1.8%
  • bug 1208071 (layers::PImageBridgeChild::Write) is 1.3% though a fix landed for b4 - was higher before so maybe the fix only worked for a part of those.
  • bug 1208234 (SourceSurfaceD2DTarget::GetDataSurface, new in 42) is 0.9%

Release

  • Overall rate: 0.9 (same as last week) - green
  • bug 1189940 (Win10 Nvidia) and bug 1207993 (Intel) are largest conerns

Mobile

  • bug 1207642 - random hex crashes on x86 still major concern, beta and release are about 50% over the overall crash rate targets, a good number of those are crashing on startup
