Action Items / Takeaways from Last Week

  • Takeaways:
    • Davehunt will look into wifi issue, may not be specific to guest network. zac/davehunt- look into a delay, or something to get gaia resurrected?
    • need retornam or similar to look at QA selenium 6 for download issue (stephend should discuss with raymond) - Dave fixed it
    • Bob to follow up with the saucelabs team about the selenium version
  • Action Items:
    • Krupa and Stephen will work to schedule FF OS Automation meeting
      • Krupa and I met, she'll schedule the next meeting, mid next week
    • Stephen to look into whether/how we can get individual team posts fed into https://blog.mozilla.org/webqa/
      • pinged #it, looked at plugins that are already installed but not active; #willKeepDigging
      • contributor suggested a plugin, but there are questions if it's appsec reviewed, etc.
    • Rbillings to ping pragmatic about a QMO post
      • Pragmatic has been asked- this can be marked as done. I have a reminder set so her post will go up next month. ~rbillings
    • Find someone to add QMO automation issues on the github tracker - Stephen
      • This was done last week. Stephend, does it need more? ~rbillings
    • maybe this week Bobsilverberg to take a look at mozwebqa templates - checking to see that they are up to date, accurate, etc.
    • take a look at xfails in input prod; will add github issue. - Stephen
    • Everyone: add easy automation tasks in github, marked as "Beginner" or Intermediate/Advanced for upcoming Selenium workshop in Cluj. Need lots of easier level tasks.
      • QMO & Remo easier tasks were created. ~rbillings
    • Remo-tests project needs to be added to the Mozilla Github repository- but it requires someone with permissions to create it. ~ bebe is the owner
      • This was done. Yay! ~rbillings

  • Bebe to create a Gaia UI Tests GitHub branch to change the xfails to expected failures
  • Bebe to create a job in Jenkins that will run that branch
  • Stephen to investigate whether the build we’re using can be a daily build of v1-train
    • Once the above's done, Dave will create a nightly job for a v1-train drop build
  • Stephen to send more information about the performance-testing request
  • Team to comment on Bob's pull to the templates: https://github.com/mozilla/mozwebqa-test-templates/pull/16
