  • Firefox OS QA is organizing a Bug Bash on Thu Oct 23, 2014 that will be held in multiple locations across multiple timezones. The focus will be on key features of b2g 2.1. Contributors will get a chance to do 15-minute tasks via One and Done and earn badges. Stay tuned for the email with more details!

Notes from October 15:

  • sets of priorities for the immediate future:
    • 33.1 release - Tracy could use internal help; compressed timeline - one-off branch/builds
    • Developer Edition Firefox
    • any of the items/features on nightly for the November 9th Firefox birthday celebration
    • looking to push a fix for some graphics bugs
  • Firefox 34 is in beta (with Loop) - so please also try that out
  • Firefox OS 2.1 went to FC (feature complete)
    • now the 6-week polish/fix cycle
  • Big takeaways from last week's Platform Engineering work week:
    • QA needs quality-driven and measured metrics/milestones
    • really need to be aggressive in Q4 with this - this will impact the Q4 goals/priorities
  • Event Notices:
    • Tomorrow, the 16th: Mozmill CI training at 2pm PDT in the Flash room in MV office
    • Also tomorrow: Aaron Klotz from the Desktop Performance Team will be in MV to do a hands-on tutorial on using the Gecko Profiler to analyze performance issues.
