THIS IS JUST A DRAFT / WORK IN PROGRESS. ACTUAL DOCUMENTATION CAN BE FOUND AT SUPPORT.MOZILLA.ORG.
All English SUMO articles are regularly updated. These updates come in three different types:
- Minor edit = Minor details that don't affect the instructions. These minor changes are not important for Localizers and they will not be notified.
- Major edit/content change (default) = more than a minor edit, but the change doesn’t change the help value of the localized articles. Only Localizers are notified by mail.
- Major edit/translation = This major edit changes the content of the article so much that the it requires a new localized version. Localizers are notified about the change and the localized page get an "out of date" header, telling readers that the article is not up to date anymore. This header disappears when a new version of the localized article is published
Based on these recommendations, the Locale Leaders, Reviewers and Localizers should be able to keep their locale up-to-date easily.
