Cloud Service Exploration

Cloud Services pursues two service categories: Firefox Endemic and Cloud Endemic.

Firefox Endemic Services:

• The Firefox team leads, defining and marketing the service as a Firefox feature.
• Cloud Services team supports the Firefox team, primarily via the Firefox Accounts API.
• Firefox Endemic services often extend existing Firefox features, usually time- and space-shifting Client state and thus require both Firefox and Cloud development.

• Firefox Backup - Enable Foxes to save/recover previous states

Firefox Bundled - only cloud development requirements; new user features

• Firefox Account Pro - Premium upgrade for early access to cloud service releases
• Firefox Faces - Talkilla/WebRTC real-time video/audio/chat/data
• Firefox Friends - Indie Web-as-a-Service
• Firefox Finesse - Greasemonkey-as-a-Service
• Firefox Flow - Open Web personal assistant
