QA Services Team Meeting
- October 20, 2010
- Attendees: al, ashughes, marcia, marcia, tomcat
Discussion Items
Project Status
CrashKill [tomcat/marcia]
- Sheila updated the CrashKill page: https://wiki.mozilla.org/CrashKill/Firefox4#Status
- We held an hour long meeting on Monday and we are making good headway on trying to make sure all important information is added to the bug that will help the devs make headway on the crash bugs.
- Crashes, Crashes and oh...Crashes!
- We are making sure nominations are in place and file bugs
Accessibility Status Update [marco]
- Firefox 4
- HTML5 enhancements are landing. We now support the "invalid" and "required" attributes in accessibility APIs, and support for the "placeholder" attribute is landing any day now on the trunk nightlies. We also support the html:output element now.
- Perf/Reorg: bug 570275, our last big blocker, is entering the review phase. I already completed my review, and David is working on his part.
- Firefox 3.6.x: Nothing special to report other than 3.6.11 has a few accessibility fixes that help with addressing crashes when supporting data tables from screen readers.
Community Building/Events (ideas and progress) [marcia/tomcat]
- "Making Firefox Better" project
- Working with designer Rhonda Spencer who is designing the front and back covers of the workbook, and a template.
- Need to make headway on the video
- Matt would like me to present the workbook and hopefully the video for feedback at the 11/10/10 QA Team meeting.
- Speaking Friday at the OpenSuse Conference and hosting in the Evening at the Munich October OpenSource Meetup in Munich
QA Videos [marcia]
- International Video is up on the quality.mozilla.org site. Thanks to everyone that helped with this.
- Next steps are to figure out how to use Drumbeat Universal Subtitles project to translate into different languages.
