=== 03 Apr 2007, Downloading LDAP Address Books for off-line use ===

SeaMonkey and Thunderbird releases have not been able to download LDAP address books for off-line use from servers that require authentication for several releases. Today I checked in the fix for that ({{bug|316170}}), so downloading for off-line use will now work for servers that require authentication and those that do not.

You can try out the new functionality in the latest SeaMonkey 1.5a/Thunderbird 3.0a nightly builds.
The [[MailNews:Address Book RoadMap|roadmap]] isn't always detailed but gives a general short to medium term outlook on where the address book is heading.

=== 08 Mar 2007, Overriding the default LDAP Address Book schema ===
The roadmap also gives some idea of the work currently in progress. We try to predict where something will land, but it doesn't always happen due to developers needing to work on other things.

Recently I checked in ({{bug|370004}}) which means all the functionality relating to overriding the default LDAP Address Book schema should now work in SeaMonkey 1.1.1 (and above) and Thunderbird 2.0 (when released).

I've also got round to writing [[MailNews:LDAP Address Books|brief documentation]] on how to do it.

=== 10 Feb 2007, csv import/export - Multi-line notes ===

I checked in {{bug|182128}} earlier today (into trunk) which now means notes on multiple lines are supported in csv files. You'll be able to try this functionality out in the latest SeaMonkey 1.5a/Thunderbird 3.0a nightly builds.
