UX Team Priorities for Firefox 3.7

No direct UI changes, but improves the general user experience:

Nice-to-haves:

  • Theme change for private browsing mode
  • Turn off unneeded system level notifications (growl, toast) users don't need real time updates about updates
  • Session restore improvements (limi, faaborg)
  • about:support, about: completion (limi)
  • Reduce UI and amount of menus (everyone :)
  • Zoom indicator (limi
  • Recently closed tabs in tabs pulldown + deemphasize (remove?) visible tabs (limi)
  • "Paste and go"? (limi)
  • Greater control of plugins (Always load / on click / never)
  • Can we get rid of "Work Offline" now? Also make sure that localhost is never offline.

Polish areas: Note that we should be using the polish whiteboard terms and target field in bugzilla to generate this list

  • Tab switching shortcuts still missing on Mac. This is the most common complaint I hear from Safari users.
  • Safari parity: reload unsuccessful pages when network returns
