Bugzilla Meetings
When and where?
Our next IRC meeting will take place on Wednesday, February 15th, 2012 at 16:00 GMT in the #bugzilla-meeting channel.
After each meeting, a brief summary is available on this page.
If you wish, you can also get a complete log from the bugzilla IRC log page
Our roadmap for Bugzilla 4.4 is also available.
Who can attend?
Everyone interested in being actively involved in the Bugzilla development. justdave, LpSolit, dkl, glob, and wicked (among others) will be there. Feel free to join us (no support question will be discussed there though, use the usual #bugzilla channel for that).
What will be discussed during our next meeting (agenda)?
- Bugzilla 4.2 blockers.
- Do we want to release 4.2rc3 to include the sec bug (will delay 4.2 again)? Or release 4.2 final the same day as other minor updates (bad to get focus on 4.2 only)? Or include the sec bug in 4.2.1 only (not safe; bad idea)?
- The decision is important to decide if there will be a 3.4.15 or not.
- Goals for Bugzilla 4.4? Code freeze is in 2-3 months, so it's a bit short for new major features!
- 4.4 is currently very minor compared to 4.2. Nothing exciting in it.
- Performance improvements, especially related to templates
- Complete WebServices methods instead of the current patchwork (partial implementations)
- How to work efficiently, based on the even smaller group of core devs? One main item at once, based on concensus?
